Before You Buy
Before purchasing an onn 32 inch 720p tv, keep in mind that all three models discussed in this guide are sold under the Amazon Renewed program. Renewed products have been inspected and tested to function properly, but they may ship in generic packaging rather than original branded cartons, and minor cosmetic markings might be present. Furthermore, while the first two models advertise an included free wall mount, the listings do not specify the exact bracket dimensions, VESA mounting hole pattern, or whether wall screws and anchors are included. You may need to verify your wall type and acquire suitable wall hardware prior to installation.
Additionally, note the software and accessory details that the listings do not specify. The listing for the VIZIO Onn 32S2V1 32″ Class explicitly lists its supported software update period as unknown, meaning ongoing long-term firmware revisions cannot be confirmed from the listing data alone. While the VIZIO OS model clearly states that creating a customer account is required for smart TV features and product updates, the Roku models do not mention mandatory account policies in their highlights. Finally, none of the listings specify whether remote control batteries are included or what the internal speaker wattage is, so keeping extra AAA batteries on hand is recommended.
FAQ
What is the difference between an onn 32 inch roku tv and an onn 32 inch vizio smart tv?
The primary difference is the operating software. An onn 32 inch roku tv runs Roku OS, which features a simple tile-based home screen, thousands of downloadable apps, and over 350 free live channels without requiring an account to access basic inputs. An onn 32 inch vizio smart tv runs VIZIO OS, which highlights WatchFree+ live channels, over 300 integrated apps, and smartphone remote control via the VIZIO Mobile App, though it requires creating a customer account for smart functionality and updates.
Is a 720p resolution sharp enough on an onn 32 inch tv?
Yes, 720p high-definition resolution provides clean, pleasant picture quality on a 32-inch screen viewed from standard distances of five to eight feet. Because the physical panel is compact, pixel density remains sharp for streaming television shows, movies, and console gaming while consuming less internet streaming bandwidth than higher-resolution screens.
Which model is the best onn 32 inch tv for bedroom use?
The best model depends on how you use your bedroom television. For private, late-night watching without waking a partner, the ONN Smart TV 32″ Powered by VIZIO is ideal due to its Bluetooth audio capability and local dimming contrast. For children’s bedrooms or guest spaces, the VIZIO Onn 32S2V1 32″ Class is better suited thanks to its Auto Volume Leveler, Sleep Timer, and Parental Controls.
Do these 32-inch onn smart TVs require paid subscriptions to watch content?
No, paid monthly subscriptions are not required to watch television. Both Roku OS and VIZIO OS provide access to extensive free libraries with hundreds of ad-supported live television channels, on-demand movies, and news broadcasts through platforms like WatchFree+ and The Roku Channel. While premium services like Netflix or Disney+ require separate paid subscriptions, plenty of free viewing options are available immediately.
Can these onn 32-inch TVs connect to smart home devices?
Yes, all three models feature smart home connectivity. Each listing confirms voice control compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for hands-free power, volume, and channel management. Additionally, all three models support Apple HomeKit, and the VIZIO Onn 32S2V1 32″ Class also supports Apple AirPlay for direct casting from iOS devices.
What physical connections should you verify before buying an onn 32 inch tv?
You should verify the ports needed for your personal accessories. If you plan to connect older video gear or standard wired headphones, the ONN 32-inch Roku Smart TV LED is the best option because it includes composite inputs and a 3.5mm headphone jack alongside three HDMI ports. If you rely on wireless soundbars or wireless headphones, the ONN Smart TV 32″ Powered by VIZIO is the only model that explicitly lists Bluetooth capability.
